Group Classes

Participants are encouraged to work at 80% of their maximal effort, meaning that you will feel strong, powerful and confident! Due to this it is important to wear clothing that you feel comfortable moving and exercising in – this includes supportive footwear. It is also important to bring a water bottle to rehydrate throughout the class. For the Counterpunch Parkinson's classes you will be provided with boxing gloves, however many participants choose to purchase their own.

There will always be chairs available to rest at any time and all of the exercises can be altered to suit you whilst still remaining a good challenge.

Our group classes make up the foundation of our programme. They run 4 times per week with a mixture of our PD Circuit class and the Counterpunch Parkinson's class.

PD Circuit

Our PD Circuit class involves a warm up followed by 4-6 Parkinson’s-specific exercises that work on balance, coordination, strength and dual-tasking. These exercises come from a variety of amazing research-backed places including PD Warrior and LSVT. We follow these exercises with a game and a warm down.

Counterpunch Parkinson's

Our Counterpunch class involves a warm up followed by a series of boxing exercises to improve agility, strength and coordination. Walk in with Parkinson’s and walk out standing tall knowing that you are doing everything in your power to show Parkinson's who is boss!
